Fly on TAP Air Portugal from Copenhagen (Denmark) or Prague (Czech Republic) to Cape Town in South Africa with ticket prices starting at just 299 euro!
Cape Town flights
Portuguese flag carrier TAP Air Portugal currently has a great sale on its new route to Cape Town in South Africa. Flights from the Danish capital of Copenhagen to Cape Town start at only 299 euro for a return ticket.
Slightly more expensive are flights from the Czech capital of Prague to Cape Town, which start at 328 EUR. Both itineraries involve an easy change of flights at TAP Air Portugal’s Lisbon hub.
It is possible to build in a stopover in Lisbon if you want to explore Portugal’s beautiful capital for a few hours, a night or even a few days, although according to the fare rules this cannot be longer than 120 hours.
There are plenty of flights available in the months of November and December 2020, as well as in January, February and March of 2021.
These are perhaps the best months to visit Cape Town as you will find lovely spring and summer weather there due to the city being located on the southern hemisphere.
For Europe to Cape Town flights these are excellent prices as the city is usually more expensive to fly to being a prime tourist hub, with South Africa’s largest city of Johannesburg normally being the cheapest entry point into the country.
TAP Air Portugal is set to begin to operate the long-planned Cape Town route on 11th November 2020, although there is still some uncertainty thanks to the corona virus (COVID-19) crisis.
South Africa is currently closed for tourism and although there are good hopes of the country opening up for tourism again given how important this sector is to the local economy, there is of course no way to tell how the situation will evolve.
Booking these flights thus comes with a certain risk, although in the event of a cancellation by the airline you have the legal right to a full refund.
