Europe and beyond

Wizz Air flies to many destinations from Vienna, including a few exotic ones which normally are harder or more expensive to reach.

You can fly from the capital of Austria to Tirana, Yerevan, Brussels (Charleroi), Tuzla, Burgas, Varna, Larnaca, Billund, Tallinn, Nice, Kutaisi, Bremen, Cologne, Dortmund, Athens, Corfu, Heraklion, Rhodes, Santorini, Thessaloniki, Zakynthos, Reykjavik, Eilat, Tel-Aviv, Alghero, Bari, Catania, Milan (Malpensa), Naples, Rome (Fiumicino), Prishtina, Malta, Chisinau, Podgorica, Marrakech, Eindhoven, Ohrid, Oslo, Warsaw, Faro, Lisbon, Porto, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Suceava, Nis, Alicante, Barcelona, Castellon, Madrid, Malaga, Menorca, Tenerife, Valencia, Stockholm (Skavsta), Kharkiv, Kiev, Zaporizhzhya and London (Luton).

The great aspect of the sale is that you can find 9.99 euro flights as well in the middle of summer, even to some touristic destinations such as Nice on the French Riviera!

Discount club

The 9.99 euro fares are only available to Wizz Air discount club members. For non-Wizz Air discount club members, the cheap flights start at 19.99 EUR – 10 euro more than the lowest available price.

If you are not yet a member of the Wizz Air discount club, you can easily register yourself today for the discount club and still make use of this offer.

What is the Wizz Air discount club?

The Wizz Air discount club is Wizz Air’s membership programme in which members are given a guaranteed discount on each flight which they book. Membership is valid for one full year after purchasing it.

What are the benefits of the discount club?

Members of the Wizz Air discount club are entitled to a guaranteed discount of 10 EUR discount on each (one-way) flight for all Wizz Air flights costing at least 19.99 EUR. The same discount is included for maximum one travel companion. If you purchase group membership, the discount applies for up to five people. Wizz Air club members also profit from a 5 EUR discount on checked baggage purchased online.

Price increase

The timing of the sale is rather curious, as it comes a day after the Austrian Government announced that under an airline bailout deal it would introduce a minimum 40 EUR price for short-haul flights by raising taxes and duties and forbidding airlines to sell tickets below this minimum amount.

This is of course bad news for airlines such as Ryanair and especially Wizz Air, which only in recent months has massively expanded operations in its new Vienna hub.

Under the new government regulations introduced by the ruling coalition of the conservative OeVP (Austrian People’s Party) and the Greens, sales like this would be forbidden in Austria in the future.
