Introducing the Paliparan YouTube Travel Channel

Check out the brand new Paliparan YouTube travel channel, where I’ll be sharing travel vlogs from a range of exciting destinations.

New YouTube travel channel

For the past few months, I’ve been considering starting a YouTube travel channel to create long-form videos showcasing a variety of fascinating destinations across Europe.

Well, long story short, I’ve bought a GoPro camera and just filmed and edited my first video — an introduction to the channel.

You can watch it below on YouTube — please don’t forget to like the video and subscribe to my channel while you’re watching!

About the Paliparan YouTube travel channel

Let me say first of all that the new Paliparan YouTube channel is by no means intended to replace my blogging activities but is here to complement the content you’ll find on this website.

That means all reviews, destination guides, trip reports, and travel news will still be published in the usual blog format, while the content I release on YouTube will be created exclusively for the platform, with topics chosen specifically because they work better on film than in writing or pictures.

In my YouTube travel vlogs, I’ll take you to hidden gems that most tourists have never heard of and share some fascinating and unusual stories behind these places.

These places will all be in Europe, with a strong focus on Central and Eastern Europe, as this is the region where I live and know best.

Variety

Not all videos will focus solely on a specific destination.

Some YouTube travel videos I plan to make will share interesting facts or unique stories about the history, culture, cuisine, or geography of a certain place.

Others will simply highlight some spectacular trips I’m planning to take in Europe, as travel is as much about the journey as it is about the destination.

While many YouTube creators focus on a single topic — such as aviation or train reviews, food and drink, or history — I will try to combine them all in my own format.

This means that sometimes a video might cover several of these categories, while others may focus on just one.

To me, travel is a blend of many factors — including the journey by various means of transport, the destination itself, and its culture, geography, history, food and drink, and modern-day life — which is why the YouTube videos on my channel will explore all these aspects in depth.

What to expect

So, where will this path of travel vlogging on YouTube take me?

Well, I suppose that’s something you’ll just have to find out by subscribing to my YouTube channel!

Although I have many places in my head that I’d love to show you, only time will tell which of these trips will eventually materialise.

Paliparan remains primarily a hobby project, meaning that writing articles for my website, filming on location, and spending hours editing videos all have to be done in my spare time and funded from my own resources.

Simply put, until I can monetise my YouTube channel, most content will stay low-key — featuring destinations relatively close to home, with at most one or two new videos released each month.

Of course, if the channel gains enough views and subscribers, I can gradually invest more time and resources into it and begin working on some ambitious plans.

To help support me in this effort, simply subscribing to my YouTube channel would really mean a lot!
