British Airways
From Luxembourg, you will hop on a feeder flight to the main British Airways hub of London Heathrow, where you change planes for your flight to Boston.
Layovers in London can be as short as just over an hour if you prefer a quick change of planes, but also several hours or even a day if you prefer some time in the lounge or a proper stopover in Britain.
American Airlines
Although the feeder flights between Luxembourg and London Heathrow are always on British Airways, it is possible to select a codeshare flight on American Airlines for the flight between London and Boston.
It is worth noting that although British Airways has a brand new business class product on its Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s, the business class seat on their other long-haul planes is quite outdated, in which case a flight on American will probably be of much higher quality.
Business class
Of course, the business class ticket gives you lounge access at all airports, as well as business class baggage allowance of two checked bags of 32kg (70lbs).
Included as well are two pieces of hand luggage (one large cabin bag of up to 23kg/51lbs, and a smaller handbag), making this a great deal for any European who plans to go shopping in the US.
Given Luxembourg’s proximity to both Belgium, Western Germany and Northern France – it could be a useful deal for a wide public.
Of course, you will also earn a bunch of Avios and Tier Points (TP) if you collect frequent flyer miles through British Airways’ own Executive Club reward programme.
Boston
As of the oldest cities in the United States, the capital of the state of Massachusetts is full of history and packs plenty of sights for those interested in the American Revolution and Independence.
Being a large multicultural city which is home to many Irish-Americans, Italian-Americans and even has a large Chinatown, there is also some great food to be found in Boston, as well as plenty of lively pubs.
Miami
Flights from Luxembourg to Miami (Florida) can also be booked for a great price in this British Airways business class sale with prices starting at 848 euro for a return ticket.
On the outbound, you fly directly from London to Miami, although on the way back most options seem to involve two stops (in Philadelphia and London) before returning to Luxembourg.
COVID-19
The great aspect of this BA business class sale is that flights up to September 2021 can be booked for this great price! There seems to be no minimum stay requirement, which makes this an excellent deal both for a short weekend break or a long holiday in the USA.
Currently the US does not allow tourists into the country due to ongoing corona restrictions, but hopefully borders will reopen again fully in the near future, making this a great deal for those willing to plan ahead of time.
In case corona restrictions might prevent you from flying, it is good to know that British Airways currently allows for free rebooking of your ticket to a future date. You must however pay the fare difference if one is applicable. It is also possible to request a voucher of the exact worth of the flight ticket price you paid.
