Flight dates

These cheap flights from Paris to Jakarta, Indonesia, can be booked for travel from April until December 2024.

However, availability during the spring months is scarce, and it’s much easier to find cheap flights if you search for dates in the summer or autumn.

For example, you can fly out of Paris on September 4th, and fly back from Indonesia to France on September 14th.

All flights have a short layover in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which boasts a modern airport that’s easy to connect through.

The flights between Paris and Jeddah are usually operated by a Saudia Boeing 787, while the flights between Jeddah and Jakarta are normally operated by a Saudia Boeing 777.

About Saudia

Saudia – the national airline of Saudi Arabia – is a full service carrier.

I’ve flown with Saudia quite a few times in the past and have always found the airline to be a pleasure to fly with, being on par with more famous Middle Eastern carriers such as Emirates or Qatar Airways.

Of course, Saudia is a dry airline, so you won’t get any beer or wine during your flight, but the complimentary meal service is of good quality, and the on-board service is friendly.

Indonesia in summer

Indonesia is a fantastic place to visit, and the best time to do so is in the summer, as this is the country’s dry season.

Although the capital of Jakarta doesn’t typically rank among the top destination within Indonesia, I found it a bustling and fascinating city that’s well worth a visit.

Located on the island of Java, Jakarta also serves as a convenient hub from which to explore the rest of the island.

The city of Yogyakarta, with the UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples of Borobudur and Prambanan on its doorstep, is arguably the most interesting place to explore on Java.

Alternatively, you can take an Indonesian domestic flight from Jakarta to the island of Bali, another tourist hotspot

It’s easy to travel across Indonesia by plane on airlines such as Garuda, Air Asia, Lion Air, Citilink, and Batik Air.

If you stay on Java, you will find that train travel in Indonesia is also a highly comfortable and affordable option to get around.
